Still Life Examples

This is a beautiful famous painting. I'm amazed at the amount of detail and color this painting has.  I love the way the flowers overwhelmingly fill up the entire frame. The the large range of colors within the bouquet works because it is toned down with the pastel and white flowers dispersed, but still stand-out with the background being black.

This contemporary painting of a still life is really inventive. the way the light bulbs imitate the shape of the pears is quite interesting. I like how the color of the bulbs and pears are used in the negative space as well to bring together the two subjects.  

This is an interesting photo of a still life. I love how it doesn't resemble a traditional still life when things are clean, neat,  and in order. The photo is grungy and represents real life and not perfection.

5 White Balance Shots from "Four Seasons" assignment

I was assigned to take photos of the four seasons with the five different white balances, florescent, incandescent, sunny, cloudy, and shade. The five images below represent "Summer." The five white balances transform from cool images to warm images. my favorite of the five is the last image. The warmth of the photo goes well with the season and I like how the silhouette at the bottom of the photo looks like land, a desert maybe.
